Best AI Copywriting Tools: 9 Picks and What a Team of 3 Really Pays

Best AI Copywriting Tools
Why you can trust this guide: we take every price straight from the vendor website, we tell you when a price is not published, and no vendor pays to be listed or ranked. Some links may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. How we make money.

TL;DR: Jasper is the best AI copywriting tool for strict brand voice, at $59 to $69 per seat each month. Anyword is best for predicting which ad or email will win, from $39 a month. Copy.ai Chat is the cheapest team option at $24 to $29 a month for up to 5 seats. ChatGPT or Claude cost $20 to $25 per seat. Before you pay, check whether the price is per seat, per word, or per product.

Quick answer card: the best ai copywriting tools by use case and starting price.

Most AI tools can write a headline. Far fewer can write one that sounds like your brand and still converts.

That gap matters more than it looks. Unbounce studied over 41,000 landing pages and found that pages written at a 5th to 7th grade reading level converted at 11.1%, against a 6.6% median across all industries (Unbounce Conversion Benchmark Report 2024). Plain, sharp copy wins.

Adoption is no longer the question. In the Litmus State of Email 2026 survey of 502 marketers, only 5% of email teams said they use no AI at all. The real question is which tool, at what price, for which kind of copy.

So I compared 9 tools on four things: brand voice controls, performance prediction, how the price is counted, and the real monthly cost for a team of three. I checked every price on the vendor’s own page on November 1, 2026.

This guide covers conversion copy only: ads, landing pages, emails, sales outreach, and product descriptions. For the wider field, start with our guide to the best AI tools for business.

What Is the Best AI Copywriting Tool?

Jasper is the best AI copywriting tool for most marketing teams because its Brand Voice, Knowledge, and Audiences features keep every ad and email on-brand. Pick Anyword if you want a score that predicts performance before launch. Pick Copy.ai Chat if your budget is tight, since one plan covers up to 5 seats.

How Much Do AI Copywriting Tools Cost?

AI copywriting tools cost between $20 and $69 per user each month for self-serve plans, with enterprise plans sold by quote. The bigger difference is the pricing unit. Jasper, ChatGPT, and Claude charge per seat. Anyword, Copy.ai, and Hoppy Copy bundle several seats into one price. Describely charges per product.

Tool and plan Monthly billing Annual billing Pricing unit Key limits
Jasper Pro $69/seat/mo $59/seat/mo Per seat 2 Brand Voices, 5 Knowledge assets, 3 Audiences
Jasper Business Custom Custom Quote Unlimited Brand Voices, API, SSO
Anyword Starter $49/mo $39/mo Plan (1 seat) Unlimited words, 50 predictions/mo on monthly billing
Anyword Data-Driven $99/mo $79/mo Plan (3 seats) 100 predictions/mo on monthly billing, extra seats $59/mo
Copy.ai Chat $29/mo $24/mo ($288/yr) Plan (5 seats) Unlimited words in Chat
ChatGPT Plus $20/mo Not listed Per person Individual account
ChatGPT Business $25/user/mo $20/user/mo Per seat 2-seat minimum
Claude Pro $20/mo $17/mo ($200/yr) Per person Individual account
Claude Team (Standard seat) $25/seat/mo $20/seat/mo Per seat 2 to 150 users
Hoppy Copy Starter $29/mo $23/mo Words per month 1 user, 20,000 words/mo
Hoppy Copy Pro $49/mo $39/mo Words per month 3 users, 100,000 words/mo
Describely Pay as you go $0.75 per product, no subscription Per product Up to 500 products, custom above
Hypotenuse AI Basic Custom (quote only) Quote 1 seat
Writer Starter Not published (per-seat, monthly or annual) Per seat Up to 5 users

Pricing traps to watch:

  • Per-seat math grows fast. Jasper’s $69 looks fine for one person. For three people on monthly billing, it is $207 a month.
  • Prediction caps. Anyword’s words are unlimited, but performance predictions are capped. Starter gets 50 a month on monthly billing. That is the feature you are paying for, so count your weekly ad and email variants first.
  • Annual lock-ins. Jasper’s annual Pro plan is paid upfront for 12 months.
  • Seat minimums. ChatGPT Business needs at least 2 paid seats. Claude Team starts at 2 users too.
  • Two tools changed course. Writesonic now sells itself as an SEO and GEO platform, with plans from $79 a month billed annually. Rytr now calls itself an AI relationship manager, with writing as its second pillar. Older lists still rank both as pure copywriting tools.

What a team of three really pays. This is my estimate based on listed prices. It assumes three marketers who all need their own login.

Tool and plan Math (monthly billing) Cost per month Cost per year on annual billing
Copy.ai Chat 1 plan covers 5 seats $29 $288
Hoppy Copy Pro 1 plan covers 3 users $49 $468 ($39 x 12)
ChatGPT Business 3 x $25 $75 $720 (3 x $20 x 12)
Claude Team (Standard) 3 x $25 $75 $720 (3 x $20 x 12)
Anyword Data-Driven 1 plan covers 3 seats $99 $948 ($79 x 12)
Jasper Pro 3 x $69 $207 $2,124 (3 x $59 x 12)
Describely 300 products x $0.75 $225 one time Depends on new SKUs

Jasper costs about seven times more than Copy.ai Chat for three people. You pay for brand controls, not words.

The 9 Best AI Copywriting Tools, Reviewed

1 Jasper: Best for Brand Voice at Scale

Jasper is an AI marketing platform built to keep every piece of copy in your brand’s voice.

What it does well. Jasper treats brand voice as a system, not a prompt. Its Brand Voice tool flags off-brand tone and suggests fixes. It sits inside Jasper IQ, which also holds your product Knowledge and Audiences. That means an ad for one segment and an email for another can share the same rules.

Key features:

  • Brand Voice with off-brand tone flagging
  • Knowledge assets and Audiences that shape every output
  • Canvas workspace and agents for core marketing workflows
  • API, SSO, and SCIM on Business

Pricing. Pro costs $69 per seat per month on monthly billing, or $59 per seat per month billed yearly. Pro includes 1 seat, 2 Brand Voices, 5 Knowledge assets, and 3 Audiences. Business is custom priced with unlimited Brand Voices. There is a 7-day free trial on Pro. See Jasper pricing.

Best for: You, if you run several products or audiences and off-brand copy is a real cost to you.

Limitations. It is the most expensive self-serve pick for a team. Pro caps you at 2 Brand Voices, so agencies with many clients will hit the ceiling fast. If price is the blocker, compare our list of Jasper alternatives.

2 Anyword: Best for Performance Prediction

Anyword is an AI copywriting tool that scores each line of copy before you publish it.

What it does well. Anyword’s big idea is the Predictive Performance Score, a 0 to 100 rating for each variant. It compares your copy to a large database of similar content. Scores work for ads, emails, landing pages, social posts, and blogs. Jasper checks if copy sounds like you. Anyword checks if it is likely to perform.

Key features:

  • Predictive Performance Score from 0 to 100
  • Real-time predictions on manual edits (Data-Driven and up)
  • Unlimited words on every plan
  • Performance data rows to train on your own results (5,000 on Business)

Pricing. Starter is $49 a month, or $39 a month billed yearly, with 1 seat. Data-Driven is $99 a month, or $79 billed yearly, with 3 seats. Extra seats cost $59 a month ($49 yearly), up to 10. Business and Enterprise are custom. The 7-day trial is capped at 2,500 words. See Anyword pricing.

Best for: You, if you run paid ads or frequent email tests and want to cut weak variants before spending money on them.

Limitations. Predictions are capped per month. Starter gets 50 on monthly billing, which goes fast if you test a lot. Anyword does not say how its score is calculated. The pricing page also lists brand voice counts in two places that do not match, so confirm before you buy.

3 Copy.ai: Best Value for Small Teams and Sales Copy

Copy.ai is now a go-to-market AI platform, but its low-cost Chat plan still works well as a team copywriter.

What it does well. For a small team, the math is hard to beat. One Chat plan covers 5 seats with unlimited words in chat. Copy.ai also offers Brand Voice and an Infobase, a central store of company facts that feeds into the copy. Workflows turn repeat jobs, like prospecting emails, into steps. That makes it strong for sales copy too.

Key features:

  • Brand Voice to keep outputs consistent
  • Infobase for product and company facts
  • Workflows for sales and marketing processes
  • Sales plays like inbound lead processing and prospecting

Pricing. Chat costs $29 a month on monthly billing, or $24 a month billed $288 a year. It includes 5 seats. Growth jumps to $1,000 a month for 75 seats and 20K workflow credits. See Copy.ai pricing.

Best for: You, if you have 2 to 5 people who need solid ad, email, and outreach drafts on a small budget.

Limitations. The gap between $29 and $1,000 a month is huge, with nothing in between. Workflows, the most advanced feature, mostly live on the higher plans. The pricing page does not list a free plan or trial terms. If outreach is your main use, pair it with one of the best cold email software tools for sending.

4 ChatGPT: Best All-Round Copy Assistant

ChatGPT is OpenAI’s general AI assistant, and it is often the cheapest serious copy tool you can buy.

What it does well. ChatGPT is flexible. It can draft ad variants, rewrite a landing page hero, and brainstorm subject lines in one chat. You can save brand rules as custom instructions or a custom GPT. You do more setup than in Jasper, but pay far less per seat.

Key features:

  • GPT-5.5 Instant and Thinking models on paid plans
  • Large reasoning context window (256K on Plus and Business)
  • Shared workspace with admin controls on Business

Pricing. ChatGPT Plus costs $20 a month for one person. Business standard seats cost $25 per user per month, or $20 billed annually, with a 2-seat minimum. Enterprise is custom. See ChatGPT pricing.

Best for: You, if you can write a good prompt and want one tool for copy plus everything else.

Limitations. There is no built-in performance score. Brand voice is only as good as the instructions you write and maintain. Output can drift into generic phrasing, so plan to edit.

5 Claude: Best for Long Landing Pages and Sales Pages

Claude is Anthropic’s AI assistant, a strong choice when the copy is long and the brand guide is detailed.

What it does well. Claude’s Projects let you store your brand guide, product docs, and past winning copy in one place. Every chat in that project uses the same context. That helps long sales pages hold one tone.

Key features:

  • Projects to hold brand guides and source docs
  • Skills, with organization-wide rollout on Team and Enterprise
  • Free plan with up to 5 Projects

Pricing. Pro is $20 a month, or $17 a month on the annual plan ($200 upfront). Team standard seats cost $25 per seat monthly or $20 per seat billed annually. Premium seats cost $125 monthly or $100 annually. Max is $100 a month. See Claude pricing.

Best for: You, if your copy is long-form conversion work, like sales pages, launch emails, or case-study style landing pages.

Limitations. Like ChatGPT, it has no performance score and no brand-voice dashboard. You build the system yourself with Projects. Teams that want guardrails without setup should look at Jasper or Writer.

6 Hoppy Copy: Best for Email Campaigns

Hoppy Copy is an AI copywriting tool built around email marketing, from single sends to full sequences.

What it does well. The Sequence Planner drafts multi-email flows. The Spam Checker scans for spam-like content before you send. Competitor Monitoring tracks rival emails for offer ideas. Brand Memory learns your tone and stores terms to use or avoid.

Key features:

  • Sequence Planner for onboarding, sales, and post-purchase flows
  • Spam Checker
  • Competitor Monitoring
  • Brand Memory, with unlimited brand voices on each plan
  • Export to your ESP, or send from Hoppy Copy, plus Zapier sync

Pricing. Starter is $29 a month ($23 yearly) for 1 user and 20,000 words. Pro is $49 a month ($39 yearly) for 3 users and 100,000 words. Pro + is $99 a month ($79 yearly) for 5 users and 300,000 words. The 7-day trial needs no card. See Hoppy Copy pricing.

Best for: You, if email is your main revenue channel and you send campaigns every week.

Limitations. It is priced by words, so heavy users can hit the cap. Its pricing page showed two different plan sets when I checked, so confirm the plan at checkout. For the sending side, see our list of the best AI email marketing software.

7 Describely: Best Pay-Per-Product Option for Ecommerce

Describely is an AI product content tool that writes product descriptions and charges per product, not per month.

What it does well. Describely’s pricing unit is its edge. You pay $0.75 per product with unlimited regenerations, and there is no subscription. It connects to your store, includes SEO tools, and lets you preset tone, length, and structure to match your brand rules.

Key features:

  • Unlimited generations per paid product
  • SEO tools included
  • Data enrichment ($0.55 per credit) and image processing ($0.05 per credit)

Pricing. Pay as you go costs $0.75 per product for up to 500 products. High volume (500+ SKUs) is custom and adds custom seats and an AI visibility audit. Your first 5 products are free with no card. See Describely pricing.

Best for: You, if you run a small or mid-size store and only need product copy, not ads or emails.

Limitations. It is a specialist. It will not write your Google Ads or launch emails. Seat counts for Pay as you go are not stated on the pricing page.

8 Hypotenuse AI: Best for Large Ecommerce Catalogs

Hypotenuse AI is a product content platform for ecommerce teams that need copy at catalog scale.

What it does well. Hypotenuse focuses on bulk work. Its bulk tools generate product descriptions, meta titles, meta descriptions, and Instagram captions in one run. Enterprise adds import in your own format, custom formatting, a bulk AI image editor, and a bespoke brand voice.

Key features:

  • Product description generator
  • Bulk tools for descriptions, meta tags, and captions
  • Bulk AI image editor on Enterprise
  • Bespoke brand voice and custom models on Enterprise

Pricing. Both plans, Basic and Ecommerce Enterprise, are listed as custom. Basic includes 1 seat. Prices are quote only. See Hypotenuse AI pricing.

Best for: You, if you manage thousands of SKUs across channels and need one system for product copy.

Limitations. No public prices make it hard to compare. Older reviews list fixed plans that are gone now. Small stores will likely get better value from Describely.

9 Writer: Best for Brand Governance

Writer is an enterprise AI platform with built-in brand and style controls.

What it does well. Writer is for teams where a wrong claim or off-brand word is a real risk. Starter includes a team Personality profile. Enterprise adds separate brand and voice profiles per department.

Key features:

  • Team Personality profile on Starter
  • Departmental brand and voice profiles on Enterprise
  • Fixed credit limits per seat on Starter

Pricing. Starter is sold per seat, monthly or annually, with fixed credit limits and up to 5 users. Writer does not publish the seat price on its plans page. Enterprise is through sales. Starter has a 14-day free trial with no card. See Writer pricing.

Best for: You, if you work in a regulated or large brand team and need voice rules enforced across departments.

Limitations. No public seat price on the plans page. Starter caps at 5 users.

How to Choose an AI Copywriting Tool

Buyer's checklist: 5 things to check before you pay for ai copywriting tools.

Choose an AI copywriting tool by matching five things to your work: how it controls brand voice, whether it predicts performance, how it counts price, what it costs for your full team, and which channel it is built for. Test one real campaign in a free trial first.

  1. Brand voice controls. Ask where your voice lives. In Jasper, it is a managed Brand Voice with tone flags. In Claude, it is a Project you build. Example: if three writers produce ads for two product lines, a managed system saves you from re-pasting a style guide every time.
  2. Performance prediction. Only Anyword on this list publishes a predictive score on every plan. Example: if you test 10 Facebook ad variants a week, that is about 40 a month, which fits inside Starter’s 50 monthly predictions. Twenty a week would not.
  3. The pricing unit. Seats, words, and products behave very differently. Example: a store adding 100 new products a quarter pays $75 a quarter on Describely. The same store on Jasper Pro pays $69 a month for one seat, used or not.
  4. Full-team cost. Multiply by your real headcount, then add billing terms. Example: three people on Jasper Pro cost $207 a month. The same three on Anyword Data-Driven cost $99, because 3 seats are included.
  5. Channel fit. A general tool does many jobs well enough. A specialist does one job better. Example: if 70% of your revenue comes from email, Hoppy Copy’s Spam Checker and sequences are worth more than a broad template library.

Copy tools are only one layer of the stack. If you also need tools for ads, analytics, and social, see our guide to the best AI marketing tools.

How We Researched This Guide

On November 1, 2026, I visited the official pricing page of every tool on this list. I recorded plan names, monthly and annual prices, seat counts, word or prediction limits, and trial terms. I also read feature pages and help docs for Jasper, Anyword, Copy.ai, and Hoppy Copy.

I reviewed six top-ranking guides for this keyword. Most repeated old prices, mixed up seat and word limits, or listed tools that changed focus.

Ranking criteria were: fit for conversion copy (ads, landing pages, emails, outreach, product pages), brand voice controls, performance prediction, pricing transparency, and cost for a team of three.

What I could not confirm: Hypotenuse AI and Writer do not publish prices. ChatGPT’s own pricing page did not render dollar amounts for Business, so I used OpenAI’s help center and an independent pricing review. Anyword’s page lists brand voice counts in two conflicting places. Hoppy Copy showed two plan sets. Persado was left out because I could not confirm a stable public pricing page. Writesonic and Rytr were left out because both now lead with other products.

We did not test these tools ourselves. No vendor pays to be listed or ranked. Read our editorial policy to learn how we pick and review tools.

Prices last checked: November 1, 2026.

The Bottom Line

The best AI copywriting tool depends on what your copy has to do. Pick Jasper if brand voice is the top priority and you can pay $59 to $69 per seat. Pick Anyword if you want a score that predicts which ad or email will win. Pick Copy.ai Chat if you need the lowest cost for a small team, at $29 a month for 5 seats. Pick ChatGPT or Claude if you are happy to build your own prompts and brand rules.

For email, go with Hoppy Copy. For product pages, start with Describely and move to Hypotenuse AI at catalog scale.

Your next step: start a free trial with your top two picks. Write the same ad and email in both. Keep the one that needs fewer edits. For long-form work, see our guide to the best AI writing tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best AI copywriting tool for a small business?

Copy.ai Chat is the best value for most small businesses. It costs $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, and covers up to 5 seats with unlimited words in chat. If you only have one person, ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro at $20 a month is a strong, flexible option. If you sell mostly by email, Hoppy Copy starts at $29 a month.

Is Jasper better than ChatGPT for copywriting?

Jasper is better for brand control, and ChatGPT is better for value. Jasper stores your Brand Voice, product Knowledge, and Audiences, and flags off-brand tone. ChatGPT can match a voice, but you must write and maintain the instructions yourself. Jasper Pro costs $59 to $69 per seat each month. ChatGPT Business costs $20 to $25 per seat, with a 2-seat minimum.

Can AI copywriting tools predict which ad will perform best?

Some can give an estimate, but none can guarantee results. Anyword gives each variant a Predictive Performance Score from 0 to 100. It compares your copy against a large database of similar content, and it works for ads, emails, and landing pages. Anyword does not explain how the score is calculated. Treat it as a filter for weak variants, then confirm winners with a real A/B test.

Are AI copywriting tools priced per seat or per word?

It depends on the tool. Jasper, ChatGPT Business, Claude Team, and Writer charge per seat. Hoppy Copy limits words per month, from 20,000 on Starter to 300,000 on Pro +. Anyword gives unlimited words but caps monthly performance predictions. Describely charges $0.75 per product. Copy.ai Chat bundles 5 seats into one $29 monthly price. Always check the unit before comparing prices.

Can AI replace a human copywriter?

No, not for copy that has to convert. AI tools are fast at first drafts, variants, and rewrites. They still need a human to check facts, sharpen the offer, and cut generic lines. The best setup is a writer who uses AI for options, then edits the best one. Tools with brand voice controls, like Jasper or Writer, reduce the editing load but do not remove it.
