Bright Data vs Oxylabs: Prices, Products and Which to Pick
Why you can trust this guide: we take every price straight from the vendor website, we tell you when a price is not published, and no vendor pays to be listed or ranked. Some links may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. How we make money.

TL;DR: This Bright Data vs Oxylabs guide compares both vendors by product line, using prices from their own pages. Oxylabs starts at $30 a month, with residential proxies at $6 per GB. Bright Data has no monthly minimum and charges $8 per GB, or $4 with a 3-month promo code. Pick Oxylabs for steady monthly use and mobile IPs, and Bright Data for uneven jobs. Test both with their free credit first.

Quick answer card: Oxylabs starts at $30 a month with residential at $6 per GB, and Bright Data charges $8 per GB with no monthly minimum.

Bright Data vs Oxylabs is a hard comparison to get right in 2026. Both vendors changed what they sell and how they bill this year.

Oxylabs moved every product to one credit subscription. And Proxyway reports that Bright Data discontinued its mobile proxy product in April 2026. Proxyway earns affiliate commissions, so keep that in mind.

So I read every price on each vendor’s own pages on October 7, 2026. Below you’ll see both vendors by product line, real monthly totals and a verdict by use case.

Three quick terms first. A proxy is a middleman server that sends your web requests from a different IP address. An IP address is the number that identifies a device online. A GB measures the data you move.

We sell nothing, and no vendor pays to be ranked here. We didn’t test either network, so every performance figure comes from a named third party. This guide covers lawful business uses only, like price monitoring, SEO checks and collecting public data.

Bright Data vs Oxylabs: Which Is Better in 2026?

Oxylabs is the better fit for steady monthly use, with plans from $30 a month and residential proxies at $6 per GB. Bright Data is the better fit for uneven jobs, because pay as you go costs $8 per GB with no monthly fee. Oxylabs publishes mobile proxy prices, and Bright Data does not.

Per GB means you pay for the data you move. Per IP means you rent an address by the month.

Product line Best for Bright Data starts at Oxylabs starts at
Residential Protected sites, city targeting $8 per GB, pay as you go (promo: $4 with code RESIGB50) $6 per GB on the $30 Starter plan
Dedicated ISP A steady IP only you use $3.50 per IP, sold as 10 IPs for $35 a month $3 per IP on Starter

Price table, Bright Data first: residential $8 vs $6 per GB, dedicated ISP $3.50 vs $3/IP, shared datacenter $1.40 vs $1/IP, mobile none vs $7.50/GB.

What changed in 2026: Oxylabs moved every product to one credit subscription. Bright Data’s pricing pages now list only residential, ISP and datacenter proxies. Krebs on Security reported that the FBI seized NetNut’s domains on July 2, 2026, so we don’t suggest NetNut as a fallback.

How Much Do Bright Data and Oxylabs Cost?

Bright Data residential proxies cost $8 per GB on pay as you go, or $4 per GB with promo code RESIGB50 for 3 months. Oxylabs costs $30 a month on Starter, which buys residential traffic at $6 per GB. Both vendors bill monthly, and neither lists a yearly plan.

This table covers residential proxies, which send your requests through real home internet connections. The numbers come from Bright Data’s proxy pricing page and the Oxylabs pricing page.

Plan Price to start Unit price Billing basis What you get
Bright Data pay as you go No monthly fee $8 per GB regular, $4 promo Pay as you go No commitment
Bright Data 141 GB plan $499 per month $7 per GB regular, $3.50 promo Monthly 141 GB (promo rate)
Bright Data 332 GB plan $999 per month $6 per GB regular, $3 promo Monthly 332 GB (promo rate)
Bright Data 798 GB plan $1,999 per month $5 per GB regular, $2.50 promo Monthly 798 GB (promo rate)
Oxylabs Starter $30 per month $6 per GB Monthly, credits Up to 5 GB
Oxylabs Basic $100 per month $5 per GB Monthly, credits Up to 20 GB
Oxylabs Flexible $500 per month $4 per GB Monthly, credits Up to 125 GB
Oxylabs Enterprise From $2,500 per month $2.50 per GB Monthly, custom offer 1,000 GB or more

Every Bright Data residential rate under $8 is a promo. Bright Data’s residential pricing page says code RESIGB50 gives 50% off for 3 months.

The plan sizes only add up at the promo rate. By our math, $499 at the regular $7 per GB buys about 71 GB, not 141. Bright Data doesn’t say what the allowance becomes after the promo, so ask first.

Oxylabs works differently. You buy dollars of credit, and any Oxylabs product can spend it. New accounts also get a free, one-time $5 welcome credit. Our Oxylabs pricing guide lists every rate for every product.

What Is Not in the Sticker Price

  • The promo ends. Bright Data’s code lasts 3 months, so budget on the regular rate.
  • Oxylabs credit expires. Oxylabs’ billing help page says unused credit expires at the end of each cycle. Top-ups expire too, unless you upgrade first.
  • Bright Data plans don’t roll over. Its pricing FAQ says a monthly commitment does not carry into the next month.
  • Minimum spend. Oxylabs needs an active plan of at least $30 a month. Bright Data’s smallest residential plan costs $499 a month.
  • Fair use caps on fixed IPs. Bright Data’s ISP pricing page gives each IP a fair use allowance of 100 GB a month, and extra charges may apply above it. Oxylabs cuts a dedicated ISP proxy from 100 sessions at once to 10 after 100 GB in a month.
  • Refunds. Bright Data says its subscription fees are generally non-refundable. The Oxylabs refund help page says the same about self-service purchases.
  • Tax and approval. Oxylabs plans say “VAT may apply.” Both vendors also run a KYC check, covered in the checklist below.

What 5, 50 and 500 GB a Month Really Costs

Here are three residential scenarios, before tax.

Monthly need Bright Data, regular rate Bright Data, promo rate Oxylabs 12 months, Bright Data 12 months, Oxylabs
5 GB $40 $20 $30 on Starter $420 $360
50 GB $400 $200 $250 on Basic plus a $150 top-up $4,200 $3,000
500 GB $4,000 $2,000, or $1,999 on the 798 GB plan $2,000 on Flexible plus a $1,500 top-up $42,000 $24,000

All totals are our math. Bright Data figures use pay as you go unless a plan is named. Its 12-month column counts 3 promo months and 9 months at the regular rate. The Oxylabs totals assume top-up credit is spent at your plan’s rate, which Oxylabs’ billing page does not spell out.

During the 3 promo months, Bright Data is cheaper at 5 and 50 GB. At 500 GB the two are about even. At regular rates, Oxylabs is cheaper at all three sizes.

Bright Data vs Oxylabs by Product Line

This table shows the fixed IP products, priced per IP per month.

Product Bright Data, 10 IPs Bright Data, 100 IPs Oxylabs Starter ($30) Oxylabs Basic ($100) Oxylabs Flexible ($500)
Shared ISP $1.80 ($18 total) $1.45 ($145 total) $1.50 $1.40 $1.20
Dedicated ISP $3.50 ($35 total) $2.75 ($275 total) $3 $2.78 $2.60
Shared datacenter $1.40 ($14 total) $1 ($100 total) $1 $0.90 $0.80
Dedicated datacenter $2.20 ($22 total) $1.70 ($170 total) $2 $1.75 $1.45

Residential Proxies

Bright Data says it has 400M+ residential IPs, and Oxylabs says 175M+. Both list free targeting by country, state, city and ZIP code.

Advertised pool size is not what you see in a job. Proxyway saw 3,241,404 unique Oxylabs IPs across 3.6 million requests. For more pools, see our guide to the best residential proxies.

ISP and Datacenter Proxies

ISP proxies are fixed IPs hosted on servers but registered to home internet providers. Datacenter proxies are IPs from cloud servers. Shared means other customers use the same IP, and dedicated means only you do.

Oxylabs has the lower unit price on small orders, but Bright Data can be the smaller bill. Ten shared ISP IPs cost $18 a month at Bright Data. At Oxylabs they use $15 of a $30 plan, by our math, and Oxylabs has no smaller plan.

At 100 dedicated ISP IPs, Bright Data charges $2.75 per IP and Oxylabs Basic charges $2.78. Both also sell shared datacenter traffic, and Bright Data’s datacenter pricing page and Oxylabs Starter both charge $0.60 per GB.

Mobile Proxies

Mobile proxies use IPs from phone networks. The Oxylabs mobile pricing page lists $7.50 per GB on Starter, $6.67 on Basic, $5 on Flexible and $3.50 on Enterprise.

Bright Data publishes no mobile price. The FAQ on its proxy pricing page still names mobile as a network, so we could not confirm whether sales still offers it.

Scraping APIs and Unblockers

These tools handle blocks for you. Bright Data’s Web Unlocker costs $1.50 per 1,000 requests on pay as you go, and you pay only for requests that succeed. Its SERP API costs the same.

Oxylabs charges $1 per 1,000 searches on its Web API /Search line. Its Web Unblocker is billed by data instead, at $7.20 per GB on Starter. The units differ, so price your own pages first. Our guide to proxies for web scraping explains when an API beats raw proxies.

Which Has Better Success Rates, Bright Data or Oxylabs?

No independent 2026 test puts Bright Data and Oxylabs side by side. Proxyway measured a 99.93% success rate for Oxylabs residential proxies, but Bright Data did not take part. AIMultiple, which counts both vendors as benchmarking subscribers, found similar residential results and a Bright Data lead on unblockers.

Here is what named third parties found.

  • Residential. In Proxyway’s 2026 tests, Oxylabs had a 99.93% success rate and a 0.60 second response time. The median across providers was 99.28%. Proxyway notes that Bright Data “isn’t participating this year.”
  • Real sites are harder. On Amazon, Google and Instagram, Proxyway’s median residential success rate was 74.43%.
  • Head to head. AIMultiple’s Oxylabs vs Bright Data benchmark found similar residential success rates. For unblockers, it reports 68% to 78% for Bright Data and 40% to 50% for Oxylabs. Both vendors subscribe to AIMultiple’s benchmarking service, so treat it as sponsored research.
  • Datacenter and ISP. Proxyway’s datacenter benchmark gives Oxylabs 99.98% success at 0.22 seconds. Proxyway’s ISP proxy report measured a 40 ms response time for Oxylabs in the US. Bright Data was in neither test.

Oxylabs advertises an average 99.95% success rate on its own pricing page, which is a claim, not a test. The fair summary is that Oxylabs has more fresh public test data behind it this year.

Buyer's checklist before paying either vendor: pass KYC, price the regular rate, avoid expiring credit, test with free credit, ask about IP sourcing.

The Court Cases, in Brief

Two large platforms have sued Bright Data over scraping. TechCrunch reported that Meta dropped its remaining claim in February 2024, after a judge ruled for Bright Data on the contract claims. CNBC reported that a judge dismissed X’s lawsuit against Bright Data in May 2024.

In November 2024, MediaPost reported that the same judge let X go ahead with claims about server strain. This is context, not legal advice, and the law is still moving.

How We Researched This Guide

We read every price on Bright Data’s and Oxylabs’ own pricing pages on October 7, 2026. We used the rendered pages, with tabs, toggles and FAQs opened. A script checked the table math.

We could not confirm four things. Bright Data shows no mobile price, and it doesn’t state its plan allowances after the promo. Oxylabs has three refund texts that disagree, and its top-up limits are in a dashboard we could not see.

We did not test these proxies ourselves. Performance figures come from Proxyway and AIMultiple, both named above with their funding. No vendor pays to be listed or ranked. You can read how we work in our editorial policy.

The Bottom Line

Bright Data and Oxylabs sell similar networks with very different billing. Keep three things in mind.

  • Oxylabs suits steady use. Starter is $30 a month, and residential traffic costs $6 per GB on it.
  • Bright Data suits uneven use. Pay as you go costs $8 per GB, or $4 during the 3-month promo.
  • Budget on regular rates, and expect a KYC check at both.

Your next step is simple. Sign up for both free credits. Run the same small job on each, and note the GB you use and the pages that load. Then scale those numbers to a full month and compare them with the cost table above.

That costs you nothing, and you’ll pick with your own numbers in hand.
