TL;DR: This guide ranks eight cheap residential proxies by what you really pay, not the “from” rate. Evomi is the lowest at $0.49 per GB on its $49 a month plan for 100 GB. DataImpulse starts at $5 for 5 GB, and Geonode costs $7.92 a month for 10 GB. Each low price has a catch, like a minimum spend or a targeting surcharge. Price your own monthly GB before you buy.

Shopping for cheap residential proxies? Start with one odd fact. The same 50 GB of traffic costs $34.65 a month at one provider in this guide and $122.50 at another.
The wider market charges more. Proxyway’s 2026 market research puts the average at $3.00 per GB at that size. That works out to $150 for 50 GB (our math).
First, the basics. A proxy is a middleman server that sends your web requests for you. An IP is the address a website sees. A residential proxy uses IPs that internet providers gave to real homes. You pay per GB, which means per gigabyte of data you use.
Low prices come with strings. One $1 per GB plan needs a $50 first payment. Another doubles its rate when you target a city. A third sells traffic for about a cent per GB, but only to verified businesses.
So I read every price on the vendor’s own page on October 7, 2026. We sell nothing, and no vendor pays to be ranked. We didn’t test these proxies ourselves. Any speed or success figure below comes from a named third party.

What Are the Best Cheap Residential Proxies in 2026?
The best cheap residential proxies in 2026 are Evomi, DataImpulse and Geonode. Evomi costs $49 a month for 100 GB, which is $0.49 per GB. DataImpulse sells 5 GB for $5 to new users, with no subscription. Geonode’s smallest plan costs $7.92 a month for 10 GB.
| Provider | Best for | Starting price | Trial or refund |
|---|---|---|---|
| Evomi | Lowest price per GB | $49/mo for 100 GB, or $0.99/GB pay as you go from 15 GB | 1-day free trial. Capped 30-day refund |
| DataImpulse | A $5 start with no subscription | $5 for 5 GB ($1/GB), new users | No free trial. 7-day refund on the first Intro plan |
| Geonode | Small plans under $1 per GB | $7.92/mo for 10 GB ($0.792/GB) | $5 paid trial. 7-day refund up to 5% used |
| PacketStream | A flat rate that never expires | $1/GB, with a $50 minimum purchase | Trial credits on request. 24-hour refund window |
| Proxidize | $1 per GB with rollover | $25/mo for 25 GB ($1/GB) | No free trial. 30-day refund up to 10 GB used |
| Proxy-Cheap | Tiny top-ups on promo | $1.50/GB promo at 3 GB (regular $2.99/GB) | No free trial found. Refund up to 20% used |
| Webshare | The lowest first bill | $3.50/mo for 1 GB | No residential trial. 2-day refund under 0.1 GB |
| Rayobyte | Free targeting and bulk buys | $3.50/GB pay as you go, or $2/GB from 50 GB | Free trial with no card. Size not published |

I ranked these on published price first. Then I weighed the catch behind each price.

The 8 Best Cheap Residential Proxies, Reviewed

Pool sizes below are vendor claims. Test results come from Proxyway’s 2026 research. Proxyway earns affiliate commissions and says so.
A sticky session keeps the same IP for a set time. An ASN is the ID number of one network, such as a single internet provider. SOCKS5 is a proxy protocol that carries any kind of traffic, not just web pages. KYC, short for “know your customer”, is an identity check.
1 Evomi: Best for the lowest price per GB
If you use 50 GB or more a month, start with Evomi.
What it does well. Evomi’s Core Residential plan works out to $0.49 per GB, the lowest self-serve rate I found. Proxyway named Evomi Best Value Provider in its 2026 awards. City targeting is free.
Key features:
- 54M+ IPs in 150+ countries (vendor claim)
- Sticky sessions of up to 24 hours
- HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5
Pricing. The monthly plan costs $49 for 100 GB, and each extra GB costs $0.49. Pay as you go costs $0.99 per GB from 15 GB and never expires. The smallest listed order is $14.85 (our math). See Evomi pricing.
Best for: You, if you need 50 GB or more a month and city targeting is enough.
Limitations. Evomi says ZIP, ISP and ASN filters multiply the bandwidth you’re billed for, up to 15 times. Unused GB on the monthly plan don’t roll over. The 1-day free trial turns into the $49 plan unless you cancel. Evomi says its IPs come from volunteers who opt in, which is its own claim.
2 DataImpulse: Best for a $5 start with no subscription
If you want to spend $5 and see how it goes, pick DataImpulse.
What it does well. DataImpulse has no subscription. You buy GB once, and the traffic never expires. In Proxyway’s 2026 test, its pool had a 99.74% success rate and a 0.97 second response time.
Key features:
- 90M+ IPs in 195+ countries (vendor claim)
- Free country targeting
- HTTP(S) and SOCKS5
Pricing. New users can buy the Intro plan, which is 5 GB for $5. Basic costs $50 for 50 GB, still $1 per GB. A 1,000 GB order costs $800. See DataImpulse pricing.
Best for: You, if you want a low first payment and only need country targeting.
Limitations. State, city, ZIP and ASN targeting is billed at double the standard rate, so $1 becomes $2. After the Intro plan, the minimum top-up is $50. The 7-day refund covers only your first Intro purchase. DataImpulse says its IPs come from people who gave full consent, which is its own claim.
3 Geonode: Best for small plans under $1 per GB
If you want a small monthly plan at a low rate, look at Geonode.
What it does well. Geonode’s smallest subscription is $0.792 per GB without a big first payment. Unused bandwidth rolls over until you cancel. Its product page lists state, city and ASN targeting.
Key features:
- 7.5M+ IPs active monthly in 150+ countries (vendor claim)
- Sticky sessions of up to 24 hours
- No fixed limit on connections
Pricing. Subscriptions cost $7.92 for 10 GB, $34.65 for 50 GB and $64.80 for 100 GB a month. Pay as you go costs $8.80 for 10 GB. See Geonode pricing.
Best for: You, if you need 10 to 100 GB a month and want a low monthly bill.
Limitations. The minimum order is 10 GB. The “from $0.27 per GB” rate needs the 100 TB plan, which is 100,000 GB, at $27,000 a month. Refunds need a request within 7 days and no more than 5% of your bandwidth used. Proxyway’s 2026 test didn’t include Geonode, so I have no independent speed data.
4 PacketStream: Best for a flat rate that never expires
If you dislike plans and expiry dates, try PacketStream.
What it does well. PacketStream sells one product at one price. There is no subscription, and your purchased balance doesn’t expire. Sticky sessions cost the same.
Key features:
- Flat $1 per GB at any volume
- Sticky sessions of up to 60 minutes
- HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5
Pricing. The rate is $1 per GB, pay as you go. The minimum purchase is $50, which buys 50 GB (our math). See PacketStream pricing.
Best for: You, if you can pay $50 up front and want traffic you can use slowly.
Limitations. The $50 minimum is the catch for small tests. Targeting is by country only, and refund requests must come within 24 hours of purchase. PacketStream says its IPs come from people who run its app and earn $0.10 per GB shared.
5 Proxidize: Best for $1 per GB with rollover
If you want a monthly plan that rolls over, look at Proxidize.
What it does well. Proxidize charges a flat $1 per GB from 25 GB up to 1,000 GB. Unused bandwidth rolls over to the next month. If you cancel, what’s left stays in your account.
Key features:
- IPs in 195+ countries (vendor claim)
- Country, city and ISP targeting
- 30-day refund if you used 10 GB or less
Pricing. Lite costs $25 a month for 25 GB, and Standard costs $50 for 50 GB. See Proxidize pricing.
Best for: You, if you need 25 GB or more each month and don’t mind an ID check.
Limitations. Every customer must pass an ID check with a government photo ID before the proxies work. There is no free trial and no pay as you go.
6 Proxy-Cheap: Best for tiny top-ups on promo
If you only need 3 or 4 GB, look at Proxy-Cheap.
What it does well. Proxy-Cheap sells small top-ups at low promo rates. It is pay as you go with no monthly commitment.
Key features:
- 80M+ IPs (vendor claim)
- Country and city targeting
- HTTP and SOCKS5
Pricing. These are promo prices with no end date shown. The 3 GB card is $1.50 per GB and the 4 GB card is $1.20, both against a regular $2.99. The 51 GB card is $0.78 against $2.60, or $39.78 in total (our math). See Proxy-Cheap pricing.
Best for: You, if you want a first payment under $5 and can accept promo pricing.
Limitations. Plan for the regular price, since 3 GB costs $8.97 at $2.99 per GB (our math). I couldn’t confirm prices for other sizes, or whether traffic expires. Proxy-Cheap asks for ID when you top up $300 or more. Its refund policy says a failed ID check means no refund.
7 Webshare: Best for the lowest first bill
If you want the smallest first payment, pick Webshare.
What it does well. Webshare’s 1 GB plan has the lowest dollar price to start in this guide. In Proxyway’s 2026 test, its pool had a 99.28% success rate and a 0.86 second response time.
Key features:
- 80M+ IPs in 195 countries (vendor claim)
- Country, state, city, ZIP and ASN filters
- HTTP and SOCKS5
Pricing. Monthly plans cost $3.50 for 1 GB, $15 for 5 GB, $27.50 for 10 GB and $122.50 for 50 GB. Yearly billing takes 30% off, so the 1 GB plan costs $29.40 for the year. See Webshare pricing.
Best for: You, if you use under 5 GB a month and want a pool with public test results.
Limitations. The $1.40 rate needs 3,000 GB at $4,200 a month. There is no pay as you go, and unused bandwidth doesn’t roll over. Webshare says its IPs come from “carefully selected partners”, which is its own claim.
8 Rayobyte: Best for free targeting and bulk buys
If you need city or ZIP targeting at no extra charge, look at Rayobyte.
What it does well. Rayobyte’s Premium Residential is pay as you go, and the balance doesn’t expire on a monthly cycle. Every tier includes country, city, ZIP and ASN targeting.
Key features:
- 50M+ opted-in devices a month in 190+ countries (vendor claim)
- Sticky sessions of up to 120 minutes
- Free trial with no credit card
Pricing. You pay $3.50 per GB when you buy 1 to 49 GB. The rate is $2 per GB for 50 to 249 GB and $1.50 for 250 to 999 GB. It falls to $0.70 from 1,000 GB. See Rayobyte pricing.
Best for: You, if you buy 50 GB or more at once and need fine targeting.
Limitations. Don’t be fooled by “from $0.0095 per GB”. That is Scale Residential, a monthly plan for verified businesses. It starts at $100 for 6,600 GB, has no targeting and allows 1 request at a time per $1 of plan. In Proxyway’s 2026 test, Rayobyte’s 98.02% success rate was below the median.
How Much Do Cheap Residential Proxies Really Cost?
Cheap residential proxies cost $0.49 to $3.50 per GB on the self-serve plans in this guide, read on October 7, 2026. The first payment runs from $3.50 at Webshare to $50 at PacketStream. By our math, 50 GB a month costs $34.65 to $122.50, against a $150 market average from Proxyway.
| Provider and plan | Price to start | Unit price | Billing basis | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Evomi Core | $49 | $0.49/GB | Monthly plan | 100 GB a month. No rollover. |
| DataImpulse Intro | $5 | $1/GB | Pay as you go | 5 GB, new users only. Then a $50 minimum. |
| Geonode subscription | $7.92 | $0.792/GB | Monthly plan | 10 GB a month. Rolls over until you cancel. |
| PacketStream | $50 | $1/GB | Pay as you go | 50 GB (our math) that doesn’t expire. |
| Proxidize Lite | $25 | $1/GB | Monthly plan | 25 GB a month with rollover. ID check needed. |
| Proxy-Cheap, 3 GB card | $4.50 promo (our math) | $1.50/GB promo, $2.99/GB regular | Pay as you go | 3 GB. Expiry rule not stated. |
| Webshare, 1 GB | $3.50 | $3.50/GB | Monthly plan, or yearly at 30% off | 1 GB a month. No rollover. |
| Rayobyte Premium | $3.50 | $3.50/GB, or $2/GB from 50 GB | Pay as you go | Targeting included. No monthly expiry. |
| Rayobyte Scale | $100 | $0.015/GB | Monthly plan, verified businesses only | 6,600 GB a month. No targeting. |
Only Proxy-Cheap’s price is a promo. The rest are regular prices.
What is not in the sticker price:
- Minimum spend. PacketStream needs $50, and so does DataImpulse after its Intro plan. Evomi’s pay as you go starts at 15 GB.
- Targeting surcharges. DataImpulse doubles its rate for state, city, ZIP and ASN targeting. Evomi bills up to 15 times the data for ZIP, ISP and ASN filters.
- Expiry. Webshare and Evomi’s monthly plan don’t roll over unused GB. Geonode’s rollover ends when you cancel.
- Promo prices. Proxy-Cheap’s regular rates are $2.99 and $2.60 per GB.
- Plans you may not qualify for. Rayobyte Scale is sold only to verified businesses after a review.
- ID checks. Proxidize checks every customer. Proxy-Cheap asks for ID at $300 top-ups.
- Refund limits. Geonode’s refund ends at 5% of your bandwidth. Webshare’s ends after 2 days or 0.1 GB.
- Trials that bill you. Evomi’s free trial becomes a paid plan unless you cancel.
This next table is our math, using only the published prices above. It shows what you would pay to cover 5 GB, 50 GB and 500 GB a month, before tax.
| Provider | 5 GB a month | 50 GB a month | 500 GB a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Geonode subscription | $7.92 (10 GB plan) | $34.65 | $274.50 |
| Evomi Core | $14.85 once for 15 GB | $49 (100 GB plan) | $245 |
| DataImpulse | $5 the first time, then $50 for 50 GB | $50 | $500 |
| PacketStream | $50 once for 50 GB | $50 | $500 |
| Proxidize | $25 (25 GB plan) | $50 | $500 |
| Proxy-Cheap | Not confirmed | Not confirmed | Not confirmed |
| Rayobyte Premium | $17.50 | $100 | $750 |
| Webshare | $15 | $122.50 | $875 |
| Proxyway 2026 market average | $20.80 | $150 | $1,140 |
Evomi at 500 GB is the $49 plan plus 400 extra GB at $0.49 each, or $245. Rayobyte prices by how much you buy at once. DataImpulse at 500 GB uses its $1 Basic rate.
The last row uses Proxyway’s averages across the providers it tested. They are $4.16 per GB at 5 GB, $3.00 at 50 GB and $2.28 at 500 GB.
Two warnings. At 5 GB, most of these providers make you buy more than you need. And city targeting at DataImpulse doubles its bill to $100 for 50 GB.
Proxy-Cheap’s row is blank on purpose. Its public page prices only 3 GB, 4 GB and 51 GB orders. Webshare’s 5 GB price comes from its public pricing API.
Is a Cheap Residential Proxy Worse Than a Pricey One?
A cheap residential proxy is not always worse than a pricey one. In Proxyway’s 2026 test, DataImpulse’s $1 per GB pool had a 99.74% success rate, above the 99.28% median. But the same test found more non-home IPs in that pool, and success on real sites was far lower for every provider.
Proxyway tested 13 providers in March and April 2026. DataImpulse, Webshare and Evomi’s Premium pool all matched or beat the median.
Evomi’s Premium pool costs $3.98 per GB pay as you go. It is not the $0.49 Core pool I ranked first.
Those tests load a tiny page. Real sites are harder. On Amazon, Google and Instagram, the median success rate was 74.43%.
Price can show up in the IP mix. Proxyway checked each pool against an IP database. On average, 93.26% of DataImpulse’s IPs were classed as home or mobile addresses. Webshare scored 98.67% and Rayobyte scored 98.23%. Proxyway noted that DataImpulse has a quality setting it left off.
Geonode, PacketStream, Proxidize and Proxy-Cheap weren’t in that test. Start small with them.
Then ask where the IPs come from. Google’s threat team says claims of “ethical sourcing” need auditable proof of user consent. In January 2026, it tied 13 proxy and VPN brands to one network. None of those brands is in this guide.
What changed in 2026: NetNut’s domains were seized on July 2, 2026, per Krebs on Security’s report on the FBI action. Rayobyte’s changelog shows its new site and pricing went live on October 1. Proxyway reports that residential rates fell by up to 75% from 2023 to 2025, then steadied in early 2026.
Use these proxies for lawful work, like price monitoring, SEO checks and collecting public data. Check each site’s terms and your local law first.
How Do You Pick a Low-Cost Proxy Plan?
To pick a low-cost proxy plan, work out your monthly GB first. Then price that exact amount at each provider, including the first payment. Check for targeting fees, expiry rules and promo prices. Read the refund and ID check terms before you pay, and start with the smallest order.

- Count your GB. If a page averages 1 MB, then 1,000 pages use about 1 GB (our math).
- Price the first payment. A $1 rate with a $50 minimum costs more today than a $3.50 plan.
- Check targeting fees. Need one city? Ask if that filter costs extra money or extra data.
- Check expiry. Traffic that never expires suits uneven work.
- Find the regular price. If a rate is a promo, budget for the crossed-out price.
- Read the refund and ID rules. Some sellers want a photo ID first.
- Start small. Buy the smallest order and test it on your own target site.
One more way to save is to skip home IPs. DataImpulse sells datacenter traffic at $0.50 per GB, half its residential rate.
Our guide to residential vs datacenter proxies explains when each type fits. Then compare the best datacenter proxies.
Providers We Left Out, and Why
These cost more at small sizes, or have a catch that outweighs the price.
Decodo. Pay as you go costs $4 per GB, and the smallest plan is $11.25 a month for 3 GB. See our Decodo pricing guide.
Oxylabs. The smallest plan costs $30 a month at $6 per GB, and unused credit expires each cycle. Our Oxylabs pricing guide has every tier.
IPRoyal. One GB costs $7.35 pay as you go on IPRoyal’s pricing page. The advertised $1.75 rate needs a custom order from 10 TB, which is 10,000 GB.
Bright Data. The regular rate is $8 per GB pay as you go on Bright Data’s page. A promo code, RESIGB50, shows it at $4.
Proxy-Seller. One GB costs $3.50 and 50 GB costs $125. But each package is valid for 30 days, and I found no rollover rule.
NetNut. We don’t recommend it. Its domains were seized in July 2026, per the Krebs on Security report.
How We Researched This Guide
We read every price on the vendor’s own pages on October 7, 2026. We used the rendered pages, with tabs and toggles opened. Proxidize’s prices were read as page text only.
We could not confirm a few things. They are Evomi’s pay-as-you-go rate below 15 GB and Proxy-Cheap’s prices for 1, 2 and 5 to 50 GB. We also couldn’t confirm Proxy-Cheap’s expiry rule or the size of Rayobyte’s free trial.
The cost tables are our math. We did not test these proxies ourselves. Performance figures come from Proxyway, a named third party that earns affiliate commissions. No vendor pays to be listed or ranked. You can read more in our editorial policy.
Prices last checked: October 7, 2026.
The Bottom Line
Here is what to take away. First, the rate per GB is only half the story. The first payment runs from $3.50 to $50 across these eight picks. Second, every low rate has a catch. It may be a minimum spend, a targeting fee, a promo or a plan you can’t get.
For 50 GB or more a month, I’d start with Evomi at $49 for 100 GB. For a small first test, pick DataImpulse at $5 for 5 GB or Geonode at $7.92 for 10 GB. Need under 5 GB a month? Webshare costs $3.50 for 1 GB.
Next, count the GB you need, pick two providers from the cost table and buy the smallest order from each. Point them at your real target site.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cheapest residential proxy per GB?
Evomi has the lowest self-serve rate I found. Its Core plan costs $49 a month for 100 GB, which is $0.49 per GB, per Evomi’s pricing page. For pay as you go at regular prices, Geonode charges $0.88 per GB at 10 GB.
Why are some residential proxies under $1 per GB?
Proxyway reports that residential rates fell by up to 75% between 2023 and 2025. The lowest rates also come with limits. Rayobyte’s Scale plan costs about a cent per GB, but it has no targeting and is sold only to verified businesses.
Are cheap residential proxies safe?
It depends on where the IPs come from. Google’s threat team says sourcing claims need auditable proof of consent, and NetNut’s domains were seized in July 2026. Ask the provider how it gets its IPs, and use proxies only for lawful work.
Do unused GB expire?
Pay-as-you-go traffic at DataImpulse, PacketStream and Evomi doesn’t expire. Unused GB on Webshare’s plans and Evomi’s monthly plan don’t roll over. Geonode and Proxidize roll unused GB into the next month.
How many GB do I need for my project?
Multiply your page count by the average page size. If each page is 1 MB, then 10,000 pages use about 10 GB (our math). Run a small test first, since page sizes vary.
