TL;DR: HubSpot pricing starts at $0 for 2 users. Starter costs $7 a seat a month on yearly billing, but that is a new-customer promo and the list price is $20. Sales Hub Professional is $90 a seat plus a $1,500 onboarding fee. Marketing Hub Professional starts at $800 a month plus $3,000. Before you sign, add up year one and year two with seats, contacts and credits.

HubSpot pricing looks simple on the pricing page. It is free to start, then $7 a seat. So why do real bills look so different?
Here is a number that explains it. HubSpot told investors that its average subscription revenue per customer was $11,800 in the second quarter of 2026. That average covers 306,446 customers, from tiny shops to big companies. Buyer data points the same way. Vendr reports that the median HubSpot buyer pays $26,250 a year, based on 972 purchases.
The gap comes from five things. They are seats, marketing contacts, required onboarding fees, HubSpot Credits and renewal prices. None of them are secret, but they are spread across several pages.
So I pulled every price from HubSpot’s own pricing pages, legal catalog and help center on October 2, 2026. Below you get each plan on monthly and yearly billing, the extra costs, and the math for 1, 5 and 20 people. Where HubSpot doesn’t publish a number, I tell you.

How Much Does HubSpot Cost in 2026?
HubSpot costs $0 for up to 2 users on the free CRM. Starter is $7 per seat a month on yearly billing for new customers, against a $20 list price. Sales Hub Professional is $90 per seat plus a $1,500 onboarding fee. Marketing Hub Professional starts at $800 a month plus a $3,000 fee.
Every price below is in US dollars. “Yearly total” is 12 months at the yearly rate. One-time onboarding fees are shown next to it, because you pay them in year one.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Yearly billing (per month) | Yearly total | What you get and who it is for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free CRM | $0 | $0 | $0 | 2 users, 1,000 contacts, 2,000 emails a month with HubSpot branding. For solo owners and pairs. |
| Starter Customer Platform (covers Sales Hub Starter and Marketing Hub Starter) | $10/seat promo ($20 list) | $7/seat promo ($20 list) | $84/seat promo ($240 at list) | Starter tools for marketing, sales, service, content and data. 1,000 marketing contacts and 500 credits a month. For small teams. |
| Sales Hub Professional | $100/seat | $90/seat | $1,080/seat + $1,500 onboarding | Sales automation, 3,000 calling minutes, 3,000 credits a month. For growing sales teams. |
| Sales Hub Enterprise | Not shown | $150/seat | $1,800/seat + $3,500 onboarding | Higher limits, 12,000 calling minutes, 5,000 credits a month. For large sales teams. |
| Marketing Hub Professional | $890 | $800 | $9,600 + $3,000 onboarding | 3 Core Seats, 2,000 marketing contacts, 3,000 credits a month. For marketing teams that need automation. |
| Marketing Hub Enterprise | Not shown | $3,600 | $43,200 + $7,000 onboarding | 5 Core Seats, 10,000 marketing contacts, 5,000 credits a month. For large marketing teams. |

The Starter prices are promos, not regular prices. HubSpot’s pricing page says you can save up to 65% on Starter and adds “new customers only.” The $20 list price is crossed out next to it. Professional and Enterprise prices are regular prices.
What is not in the sticker price:
- Required onboarding. A one-time fee of $1,500 to $7,000 on every Professional and Enterprise plan in the table.
- Extra marketing contacts. Starter adds $50 a month per 1,000 contacts. Professional adds $250 a month per 5,000.
- Extra seats. Marketing Hub Professional includes 3 Core Seats. More seats start at $45 a month each.
- Seat minimums. Marketing Hub prices already include 3 or 5 seats. We found no published seat minimum for Sales Hub.
- HubSpot Credits. Use more than your monthly credits and you pay $0.010 per credit.
- Renewal jumps. HubSpot’s terms let it raise your price to the current list price when you renew.
HubSpot Pricing Plans Explained
Free CRM
The free plan costs $0 with no time limit. HubSpot says it is free for up to 2 users, and you don’t need a credit card. You can add 1,000 contacts and send 2,000 emails a month. Those emails carry HubSpot branding.
Pick it if you work alone or with one partner. You will outgrow it when you need a third user or more than 1,000 contacts.
Starter Customer Platform
Starter is one bundle now. HubSpot shows the same Starter price on its Sales Hub and Marketing Hub pages. So Sales Hub Starter and Marketing Hub Starter are the same purchase.
The list price is $20 per seat a month. HubSpot’s Starter page shows a promo of $7 per seat billed yearly and $10 per seat billed monthly. The fine print says the discount is for new customers only and for a limited time.
You get 1,000 marketing contacts and 500 HubSpot Credits a month. You can send 5 times your contact tier in emails each month. The sales tools include 500 calling minutes and up to 15 deal pipelines. Pick Starter if you have a small team and want to drop the HubSpot branding.
Sales Hub Professional
HubSpot lists Sales Hub Professional at $90 per seat a month on yearly billing. Pay monthly and it is $100 per seat. You also pay a required one-time onboarding fee of $1,500.
Each account gets 3,000 credits a month, 3,000 calling minutes, up to 300 workflows and up to 100 deal pipelines. A workflow is an automation that runs steps for you, like sending a follow-up email. Pick it if your reps lose hours to manual follow-ups and you need real automation.
Sales Hub Enterprise
Sales Hub Enterprise starts at $150 per seat a month. HubSpot’s page shows no separate monthly-billing price for it. The required onboarding fee is $3,500.
You get 5,000 credits a month, 12,000 calling minutes, up to 1,000 workflows and up to 350 pipelines. Pick it if you run a large sales team that needs tighter control and higher limits.
Marketing Hub Professional
Marketing Hub is not priced per seat at this level. Marketing Hub Professional starts at $800 a month on yearly billing, or $890 paid monthly. That is $9,600 a year. The required onboarding fee is $3,000.
The price includes 3 Core Seats, 2,000 marketing contacts and 3,000 credits a month. You can send 10 times your contact tier in emails each month. Pick it if you need full marketing automation and your list is growing.
Marketing Hub Enterprise
Marketing Hub Enterprise starts at $3,600 a month, or $43,200 a year. HubSpot shows no monthly-billing price. The required onboarding fee is $7,000.
You get 5 Core Seats, 10,000 marketing contacts and 5,000 credits a month. Extra Core Seats start at $75 a month. Pick it only if you run a large marketing department and need the higher limits.
What Hidden Costs Does HubSpot Pricing Leave Out?
HubSpot pricing leaves five costs out of the big number on the page. They are one-time onboarding fees of $1,500 to $7,000, automatic marketing contact upgrades, extra seats from $45 a month, HubSpot Credits at $0.010 each, and renewals that can rise to the list price.
Onboarding fees. HubSpot calls onboarding “required” on Professional and Enterprise plans. Sales Hub charges $1,500 or $3,500. Marketing Hub charges $3,000 or $7,000. You pay it once, in year one.
Marketing contacts. A marketing contact is anyone you can send marketing emails or ads to. Only those contacts count toward your bill.
HubSpot’s product and services catalog lists the add-on rates. Starter adds $50 a month per 1,000 contacts. Professional adds $250 a month per 5,000. Enterprise adds $100 a month per 10,000.
Watch how the upgrade works. HubSpot’s help center says that going over your contact tier upgrades you automatically. You then pay the higher tier until your renewal date, even if your count drops later. So trim your list before you import it.
HubSpot Credits. Credits are what you spend when HubSpot’s AI agents do work for you. You get 500, 3,000 or 5,000 a month, depending on your plan. HubSpot’s credits page prices each credit at $0.010, or $10 for a pack of 1,000. Unused credits expire each month.
The Customer Agent uses 50 credits, or $0.50, for each chat it resolves without a human. So 3,000 credits cover 60 resolved chats. If the agent resolves 200 chats in a month, you need 10,000 credits. The extra 7,000 cost you $70.
If AI features drive your choice, compare how other tools charge in our guide to the best AI CRM software.
Renewals and refunds. HubSpot’s customer terms of service say it may raise your fees at renewal, up to the current list price, with 30 days’ notice. The same terms say you can’t cancel early, downgrade mid-term or get a refund for unused time. Subscriptions also renew automatically unless you turn auto-renewal off.
What Does HubSpot Really Cost for 1, 5 and 20 People?
HubSpot costs a solo user $0 on the free CRM or $84 a year on the Starter promo. A team of 5 pays $420 a year on Starter or $6,900 in year one on Sales Hub Professional. A team of 20 pays $23,100 on Sales Hub Professional or $39,500 on Enterprise in year one.
I ran the math with the prices in the plan table. Year one includes the one-time onboarding fee. Year two drops it. Taxes are not included.
| Scenario | Plan and billing | The math | Year one | Year two |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | Free CRM | 1 user at $0 | $0 | $0 |
| Solo | Starter, yearly (promo) | 1 x $7 x 12 | $84 | Up to $240 at the $20 list price |
| Team of 5 | Starter, yearly (promo) | 5 x $7 x 12 | $420 | Up to $1,200 at the $20 list price |
| Team of 5 | Sales Hub Professional, yearly | 5 x $90 x 12 + $1,500 | $6,900 | $5,400 |
| Team of 5 | Sales Hub Professional, monthly | 5 x $100 x 12 + $1,500 | $7,500 | $6,000 |
| Team of 20 | Sales Hub Professional, yearly | 20 x $90 x 12 + $1,500 | $23,100 | $21,600 |
| Team of 20 | Sales Hub Enterprise | 20 x $150 x 12 + $3,500 | $39,500 | $36,000 |
Look at the jump for a team of 5. Starter is $420 a year on the promo. Sales Hub Professional is $6,900 in year one. That is more than 16 times the price, so be sure you need the Professional tools first.
Marketing Hub adds contacts to the math. Say you need Marketing Hub Professional with 10,000 marketing contacts. The base is $9,600 a year. You need two extra blocks of 5,000 contacts at $250 a month each, which is $6,000 a year. Add the $3,000 onboarding fee and year one comes to $18,600.
Is HubSpot Worth the Price?
HubSpot is worth the price on the free CRM and on Starter, where 5 seats cost $420 a year on the promo. Professional is worth it only if your team will use the automation enough to justify $6,900 or more in year one. Skip it if you just need a pipeline or email.

Here is the plan I’d point you to, based on who you are.
- Solo owners and pairs: stay on the Free CRM. It costs $0 for up to 2 users and 1,000 contacts.
- Small teams: pick Starter. It is $7 a seat a month on yearly billing as a new-customer promo.
- Sales teams: pick Sales Hub Professional at $90 a seat a month on yearly billing, plus $1,500 onboarding.
- Marketing teams: pick Marketing Hub Professional from $800 a month on yearly billing, plus $3,000 onboarding.
Who should skip HubSpot? You, if you only send newsletters. A tool from our list of AI email marketing software will cost you far less than $9,600 a year. The same goes if you only do outbound sales. Dedicated cold email software does that one job for less.
Think twice if your contact list is large but your budget is small. Contact tiers only go up during your term, and HubSpot’s terms don’t allow early cancellation.
How to Pay Less for HubSpot

Start with five checks before you pay.
- Ask what your Starter promo price renews at, and get it in writing.
- Add the one-time onboarding fee to your year-one budget.
- Count your marketing contacts, not your total contacts.
- Count the paid seats you need. View-only seats are free.
- Estimate your monthly HubSpot Credits before you turn on AI agents.
Next, use the discounts HubSpot itself offers.
- Pay yearly. Sales Hub Professional drops from $100 to $90 a seat. Marketing Hub Professional drops from $890 to $800 a month, which saves $1,080 a year.
- Startup program. HubSpot for Startups offers 90% off in year one, 50% in year two and 25% in year three for funded startups up to Series A. Startups tied to approved partner groups get 30% off year one and 15% off year two. It only covers new Professional and Enterprise plans.
- Nonprofit program. HubSpot for Nonprofits takes 40% off new Professional and Enterprise plans on a yearly term. Starter is excluded. You must be registered in North America, Australia or New Zealand.
- Stay free longer. The free CRM has no time limit.
- Mark contacts as non-marketing. Only marketing contacts count toward your tier. HubSpot’s help center explains how marketing contact billing works.
We did not find a published student or school discount on HubSpot’s pricing pages.
Cheaper alternatives to HubSpot
If Professional is too pricey, these three sales CRMs cost less.
- Zoho CRM: free for 3 users, then Standard at $14 per user a month, billed yearly.
- Pipedrive: Lite at $14 per seat a month, billed yearly, with a 14-day free trial.
- Freshsales: Growth at $9 per user a month, billed yearly, with a 21-day free trial.

How We Researched This Guide
We took every HubSpot price from HubSpot’s own pricing pages, product pages, legal catalog and help center on October 2, 2026. The alternative prices come from each vendor’s own page on the same day.
We could not confirm a few things. HubSpot does not say how long the Starter promo lasts or what price it renews at. It shows no monthly-billing price for Enterprise plans. We also found no trial length for paid plans and no seat minimum for Sales Hub.
We did not test these tools ourselves. No vendor pays to be listed or ranked. You can read how we work in our editorial policy.
Prices last checked: October 2, 2026.
The Bottom Line
HubSpot is cheap at the bottom and pricey in the middle. The free CRM costs $0 for 2 users. Starter is $7 a seat on yearly billing, but plan for the $20 list price at renewal.
The real jump is Professional. Sales Hub Professional runs $6,900 in year one for 5 people. Marketing Hub Professional starts at $12,600 in year one with onboarding. Contacts, seats and credits can push both higher.
Here is your next step. Open a spreadsheet and write down your seats, marketing contacts and monthly credits. Price year one and year two. Then compare your total with HubSpot’s pricing page before you talk to sales.
Then you will know your real number before anyone quotes you one. For more, browse our pricing guides.
